Select the resolution setting according to the intended use:
A higher resolution (4M+) would be appropriate for printing letter-size or larger, and for printing a close-up of part of a photo. A medium resolution (3-4M) is appropriate for printing standard photo (photo service) sizes. A low resolution (0-3M) for photos displayed on a webpage, or sent as email attachments.
